I loved the grids and rhythms of the doors that were at the same time windows, and the natural materials that were used...
A workshop that I held this past weekend (or was it two weekends ago already) brought me back to that connection as I danced with a group of participants in the beautiful space of Fujiya Gallery in Kannawa.
Through the day of the workshop and the planning of it I discovered not only the joy of movement in the spaces I once dreamed about, but also discovered how much I love the combination of doing yoga dance in a hot springs area...sensing the steam rising from the ground as we move and connect with our inner fluidity (which is what the yoga dance is based on)...
I wrote an article on Japan Visitor about my recent Hot Springs and Yoga Dance experience and how it connects to my "Japan Journey"....wanted to share it here as well....
If you'd like to read the article, please click HERE: "Hot Springs and Yoga Dance" on Japan Visitor.
or If you'd prefer to just stay 'here' and be in the moment, then I hope you enjoy these views of the gardens at Fujiya and this song, "The Lime Tree"...

Looks like a beautiful place, peaceful and lush. I love the architectural spaces, the gardens, and the integration of nature in Japanese design as well. So perfect... xo
Happy yoga dance ...
That place is incredible and that about outside-inside japanese concept is really interesant...something not very common here.
